How to Follow Isa Al-Masih?
Bismillahi Ar-Rahmani Ar-Rahim
Maybe you have met Isa Al-Masih (aws) in your dream and he invited you to follow him. Alhamdulillah. That is a wonderful barakah (blessing). Maybe you have been wondering about the many wonderful things that the Qur’an and the Injil say about Isa, and you are asking yourself the question in our title. Maybe you are curious, or even suspicious. Whatever the case, we would like to help you find both peace and at least some answers to get you started on this blessed path. If you want to know more, contact us (safely and anonymously) through this website (see Contact).
First of all, let us settle clearly one fundamental question, which leads to much confusion and tension.
We, followers of Isa Al-Masih (may his peace be upon us) believe and openly confess: Allahu Wahad (God is One)! You may be surprised to come across the terms Father and Son in the quotations below, and your concern is fully justified. Before you make any conclusions, though, inquire into this theme. We will be happy to help you.
Alhamdulillah, Isa (may his peace be upon us) is alive and over the centuries, he is calling all kinds of people to follow him. May you find guidance in the following simple steps:
1. Love Allah without reservation
Injil; Matthew 22: 37
He told him, "Love Allah your Mawla (Lord) with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
2. Decide who Isa Al-Masih (may his peace be upon us) is
Injil; John 14:6
Isa told him, "I am Al-Sirat (the way), the truth, and the life. No one comes to Al-Malik Al-Rahman (in Greek: the Father) except through me.
3. Surrender everything to Him
nabi Isaiah 1:18
Come now, let us settle the matter, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
4. Submit (sallam) fully to Allah
Injil; Romans 12:1
Therefore, brothers, I urge you by the mercy of Allah to deliver your bodies to him as a pleasing, holy, living offering. This is your true and proper worship.
5. Overcome sin and worldliness
Injil; Galatians 2:20
I was crucified in my union with Al-Masih, so I am no longer the one who lives. Rather, Al-Masih is the one who lives in me. I live my life in this body now trusting in the faithfulness of the Amir, the beloved of Allah (in Greek: the Son of God), who loved me and sacrificed himself as a ransom for me.
6. Walk with Him daily
Injil; Colossians 2: 6-7
You have chosen Al-Masih Isa as your Mawla, so walk like you belong to him. You are rooted and supported by him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught. And overflow with praise and thanks.
