An-Nisa 4:171
ٱلْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ
The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, is the Messenger of God, and His Word
It is the call of all the anbiya and rusul (prophets and messengers) to speak words of Allah. But there is a big difference between speaking a word of Allah, and being the Word of Allah.
Isa Al-Masih (may His peace be upon us) is the Only One who is called Kalimat Allah (the Word of Allah). Nobody else shares this unique title with Him.
Being (rather than speaking) the Word of Allah has many implications. While all the anbiya and rusul spoke the Truth under divine inspiration, Isa (may His peace be upon us) and only He, according to the Honored Qur’an, is the Truth.
The Qur’an is confirming the Injil in this regard, where Isa al-Masih said the same truth about Himself:
Injil, John 14:6
Isa told him, "I am Al-Sirat (the way), the truth, and the life. No one comes to Al-Malik Al-Rahman except through me.
If Isa is the Word of Allah, it means that He must be the right expression of al-Haqq (the Truth), that is, of Allah Himself.
Injil, John 8:58
“Very truly I tell you,” Isa answered,“before Ibrahim was born, I am!”
Who can dispute that the Word of Allah is Eternal? The Injil and the Qur’an both show us that Isa ibn Maryam, was not created on the day when a messenger of Allah has spoken to the blessed umm (mother). Isa (may His peace be upon us) did not only say: “I am older than Ibrahim.” What he said means much more than that. He said: “Very truly I tell you, before Ibrahim was born, I AM!” This is absolutely in line with the Qur’anic claim that Isa is the Word of Allah. When did the Word of Allah begin to exist? When was Allah without a Word? Think about it? The Word of Allah cannot be “swept under the carpet” just because it is disturbing. The Word of Allah must be the Truth.
There’s no question about what is the Word of Allah, and what is the Truth. The question is: Am I ready to follow the Word and the Truth? Am I ready to stand before Him?
