The Blessed Tawrat, Zabur and Injil

Bismillahi ar-rahmani ar-rahim

āli ‘Imrān 3:3.4

It is He Who has sent down the Book to you with truth, confirming what came before it. And he sent down the Taurat and the Injeel before, as a guidance to mankind, and He sent down the criterion. Truly, those who disbelieve in the revelations (āyāt) of Allah, for them there is a severe torment; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution.

Juma Mubarak, dear brothers and sisters. Heavens rejoice, when people take the time to read the Words of Allah, when they lift their hands and minds towards Allah and seek His will and His guidance. Surah Al Qadr (97) tells us that there are many blessings stored for those who do so, but let all your namaz, tahajjud and dua be signs of your thankfulness to Ar-Razzaq (the Provider). Do not occupy your mind with counting the rewards you can get for your good works before Allah and before people. Let angels do the counting, while you do what is right, and help those who need help. Be satisfied with the joy which doing good brings, and with the smiles of those you helped. Leave the rest with Allah, He does not forget.

Worship Allahu ta’ala and be thankful to Him. Let us be thankful for His great gift.

For what particular gift are Muslims to be thankful? (based on the above verses, choose one correct answer)

  1. for the newest model of a mobile phone
  2. for the revelation He gave to mankind as a guidance
  3. for the opportunity to gather lots of barakat for ourselves

Allah spoke to every one of his prophets, beginning with Adam (aws), but He only gave the special sign (ayah) of a Book to four.

the Tawrat to Musa (aws): al-Mā’ida 5:44 Surely We sent down the Torah, wherein is guidance and light.

the Zabur to Dawud (aws): al-Isrā 17:55 We have given preference to some Prophets over others and We gave the psalms to David.

the Injil to Isa (aws): al-Mā’ida 5:46 And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which is guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.

And then came the night in the cave of Hira, in which the revelation of the Qur’an begun: al-An’ām 6:92 And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it.

In the Injil, Allah gives the same message:

Injil, 2. Peter 1:21

No prophecy issues from the will of a person. Rather, the holy anbiya (prophets) spoke the words of Allah by inspiration from Ruh Allah Al-Quddus (Holy Spirit).

Let us, please, pray du’a for one another, that we may be rightly led by all the guidance, which Allah, in His mercy, gave to mankind. Allah forbid that we would be among those who disbelieve His revelations. Do not put yourself on that path, even if many others walk it. Believe the prophets who were rightly guided by Allah and put your trust in the Almighty. May His barakah be with us all.
